The health and safety of our trainees, tutors and trainees is our priority and we are following the advice of the government guidelines and the NHS to make sure we are taking the right steps when those guidelines change during the different phases of lockdowns and mandatory obligations.
Current Covid 19 protocols as of the 07th of July 2021 and continuing.
Our classrooms, corridors and other shared areas are cleaned on a daily basis and / or in between groups in training in the large classroom. The smaller classrooms are only used by one group on a given day. We have additional cleaning services to sanitise our plant and machinery operating controls are regularly cleaned with disinfectant products in between different operatives using them for training or testing.
There are also increased hand sanitisation stations available at our training centre entrances and exits.
Our tutors are taking regular breaks to wash their hands thoroughly and we provide them with hand and surface antibacterial wipes.
We are operating social distancing in classrooms, and we are reminding our tutors and trainees with signs and messaging what they must adhere to whilst on our premises.
We are also asking our trainees to adhere to 'one desk one person' in classrooms.
In line with Government Regulations, it is still mandatory for trainees and tutors to wear a face-covering (mask or screen) in our classrooms, corridors, and other shared areas. Tutors working behind protective screens are exempt from wearing face coverings, and - in line with the Regulations - where there is an exemption not to wear a mask, trainees will not be required to wear one.
Tutors are aware that there are instances where people will be unable to wear a face covering and we all need to be understanding in these cases. We have made free face masks available to both trainees and tutors, and continue to share the latest public health guidance, including the correct way to wear and dispose of face coverings. For trainees, we continue to share public health guidance on training safely, reminding them through signage and verbal messaging of the requirement to wear face coverings while indoors in our training centre.
As and from the 19th of July 21 it will not be mandatory to wear masks inside the classroom and social distance will be reduced from the current 2 meters. However, we at Bucks Training Academy request that students should wear their masks if happy to do so. We are also happy to separate into two groups of those who wish to wear masks and those who do not.
REMEMBER THAT COVID 19 IS STILL WITH US AND CAUSING SICKNESS AND HOSPITALISATION.
We really appreciate the hard work of our management and tutors who are going over and above, on this matter and enforcing government protocols. We also appreciate the support and encouragement that our trainees are showing to our staff in our classrooms and outdoor training areas. It really helps as we all play our part.
